Isla Montessori School

Guiding Children as They Navigate the World

What is Montessori?

An educational philosophy that views the child as one that is eager for knowledge who will initiate learning in a supportive, stimulating, and thoughtfully prepared learning environment.  The Montessori approach values the development of the whole child – the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

By encouraging students to develop the independence and skills necessary to be self-sufficient in their classrooms, we prepare them for real life, the largest classroom in the world.  Children leave a Montessori classroom with a true love of learning and a solid academic and social foundation that will support them throughout their lives.

Working Together

We discovered that education is not something which the teacher does, but that it is a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being.

- Maria Montessori

Isla's Mission

Isla Montessori believes in an authentic Montessori approach to education that assists children in navigating through self, community, environmental, and cultural awareness so that they can become exceptional humans. We commit to a partnership with our island community as resources in creating conscious

Do you have something to contribute?

Chances are you do!

Isla Montessori is committed to offering quality enrichment programs, either during school or after school hours, for the children that reflect our mission and goals to incorporate the beautiful cultures of Saipan. If you have a cultural experience, activity, or just a passion that you would be willing to share with our students, we would love to hear about it. We are able to consider fee-based offerings dependent on interest.
